 Andy Gronik is responsible for valuation and consulting services worldwide. He helps customers address matters affecting financial reporting, tax, insurance and business strategy and assists with business challenges such as securing asset-based financing. Mr. Gronik has longstanding relationships with money center banks worldwide and works closely with major public accounting firms, law firms, insurance companies and government agencies. Customers include the world's largest corporations.
Mr. Gronik manages AccuVal's fully integrated service platform, including valuations of machinery, inventory, real estate, businesses and intangible assets; and advisory services like strategic planning, problem solving and feasibility analysis. He directs the firm's complete suite of asset management and disposition services, including live Webcast auctions, online auctions and orderly liquidations. He also assists clients with crisis management, identifying and executing exit strategies to help maximize the return from the sale of assets.
With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Gronik proudly embraces a three-generation legacy begun by his grandfather in 1925. He conducted his first auction at age 15 and later launched his full-time career in the family auction business. In 1980, he co-founded The Gronik Company, Incorporated, serving as president and leading the firm to national prominence.
Mr. Gronik established AccuVal and sister firm LiquiTec Industries, Incorporated, with partner Richard E. Schmitt in 1988. As president, he expanded the firms' reach to gain acceptance and endorsement by major lending institutions and corporations worldwide. Following the 2000 acquisition of the companies by DoveBid, Inc., Mr. Gronik assumed global responsibility for appraisal and consulting services at DoveBid Valuation Services, Inc. (DVS). There he directed the integration of eight valuation firms in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Australia. He and Mr. Schmitt repurchased AccuVal and LiquiTec in March, 2003.
Mr. Gronik is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), a certified general appraiser in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, a licensed auctioneer and real estate broker, and an experienced expert witness. He has been nominated Entrepreneur of the Year, is listed in Who's Who in Top American Executives and has authored several articles on the appraisal process. Mr. Gronik has frequently testified as an expert witness in federal, state and local proceedings. Court decisions relying on his conclusions have been upheld by the appellate courts, including one case that went to the Minnesota Supreme Court. He holds a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Georgia-Athens. |
