Business Development Managers/Territory Managers
Location: New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; all major U.S. Cities
AccuVal is seeking a self-motivated individual with experience in developing and expanding new business relationships and its client base. Customers include major corporations, lending institutions, law firms, accounting firms, turnaround professionals, risk managers, private equity, and hedge funds. Experience selling and/or understanding of valuations, financial services, accounting services and/or consulting services required. You will identify and sell new business in new and existing markets through the following mechanisms: relationship building, networking, industry associations, cold calling and attending trade shows. Approximately 50% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- You will have a minimum of 10 years experience in consultative sales with a demonstrated track record of developing a new territory or growing an existing territory. You should be able to explain the techniques utilized to accomplish this success.
- You will have a strong commitment to customer service and embrace a "customer first" philosophy.
- You will have excellent negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to make persuasive presentations to decision-makers.
- You will project leadership skills, including solid interpersonal and proven written and verbal communication skills. You will be organized, self motivated and possess a sense of urgency, drive and ambition.
- You will be a demonstrated team player who focuses on achieving both personal and team goals.
- You will be able to work independently and autonomously but will also be comfortable participating and contributing in a team environment.
- You will be required to outline quarterly sales plans defining the approach to meet targets and comply with all reporting requirements.
- You will understand the importance of fair dealing, personal responsibility and developing client loyalty. You will possess critical listening skills and have the ability to identify all stakeholder needs and reach mutually rewarding solutions.

Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (Entry-Level)
Location: Long Island, NY; Milwaukee, WI and Dallas, TX
AccuVal is currently recruiting for entry-level machinery & equipment appraisers who will determine the value of manufacturing equipment within or produced by a wide variety of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites for initial inspection and evaluation
- Assist senior appraisers with interviewing senior management
- Research the marketability of the machinery under various value definitions
- Analyze market research data
- Assist in the preparation of detailed narrative reports for our clients

As a business valuation manager/senior manager, you will understand and apply fundamental accounting, finance, business valuation and intangible asset valuation concepts to support report generation and consulting. You will be expected to use and apply the firm's internal models to various industries and projects and will have the opportunity to contribute modifications to models, as appropriate. You should be highly familiar with the prevailing issues related to the book and tax valuations and the positions of the various governing bodies such as SEC, IRS, USPAP, AICPA, ASA, court cases, etc. You should possess strong client and project management skills. Strong proficiency with Excel is a requirement.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of business valuation, equity and/or intangible asset valuation experience. Accreditations, including ASA, ABV, CVA, CPA and CFA, a plus. Approximately 5-10% travel required.

Business Valuation Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL
AccuVal is currently recruiting for analysts to join our business valuation team.
Responsibilities:
- Learn fundamental terminology, concepts, practices and procedures and how to apply each to various industries and projects
- Conduct research and apply common business valuation and intangible asset valuation methodologies efficiently
- Support appraisers by entering financial data into spreadsheet models, researching economic data and researching industry data
- Perform research on publicly traded companies
- Perform research on mergers and acquisitions of privately held companies
- Research economic and industry data; write analyses summarizing conclusions
- Write descriptions of subject companies
- Learn to perform tasks and analysis used in the valuation of businesses and intangible assets
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of business valuation, equity and/or intangible asset valuation experience. The company is seeking candidates who are interested in a long-term career in the appraisal industry. Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics preferred. Corporate Services Valuation Analyst
Location: Milwaukee, WI
AccuVal is currently recruiting for an entry-level valuation analyst to join its Corporate Valuation team. Most of the appraisals conducted by this department are used to help some of the world's best-known companies revalue their financial statement assets during a merger or acquisition (SFAS 141). Valuations for other purposes include property tax consulting, insurance valuations, and goodwill impairments (SFAS 142).
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites for initial inspection and evaluation

Property Tax Manager
Location: AccuVal U.S. Offices
AccuVal is currently recruiting for a national property tax manager. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced tax professional to build a tax practice backed by a team of experienced real and personal property valuers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical property tax background as the result of 6+ years of experience in reviewing assessments and appraisals and advising companies on their real and personal property tax issues. Applicants should have experience with multi-state property tax compliance and planning and should have a successful track record of preparing for and providing testimony before administrative assessment review boards. Experience with the real and personal property assessments of complex industrial properties is required.
An ability to develop business is critical, and ideally, the applicant will already have an established professional network that can be leveraged. Candidate must be highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for his/her own personal growth and development. Candidate must also possess a demonstrated ability to identify tax consulting opportunities and a willingness to aggressively market services to existing and prospective clients. Candidate must possess a client service orientation combined with creative problem-solving skills; strong written and oral communications skills are also a must. Candidate should also be able to manage, develop, and retain a team of professionals.
BA/BS required. Advanced degree and professional accreditations in CMI, CPA, MAI, or ASA strongly preferred. Location is flexible. Some travel is required.
