Derek Carrus, a senior manager in AccuVal's Fort Lauderdale office, offers expertise in the valuation of retail and wholesale-consumer inventories. He has appraised billions of dollars worth of collateral for the asset-based lending community and has worked on some of the industry's largest syndicated transactions.

Mr. Carrus specializes in valuing a range of industries, including: branded apparel, automotive, building supplies, home and garden, sporting goods, furniture, music and video, grocery, pharmaceutical, cataloguers, and internet retailers.

Mr. Carrus previously held managerial positions with valuation and asset management firms throughout the country. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and has completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) coursework. Mr. Carrus received undergraduate education in electrical engineering at Worchester Polytechnic Institute.
